Workday Completes Acquisition of Paradox, Adding Conversational AI to Its Hiring Stack

Close of the deal brings the Olivia recruiting assistant into Workday for high-volume hiring

Workday has completed its acquisition of Paradox, bringing the Scottsdale-based conversational recruiting company fully into its platform as of April 13, 2026. Paradox assistant, known as Olivia, automates candidate screening, interview scheduling and onboarding, with particular strength in high-volume and frontline hiring for large retail, restaurant and healthcare employers.

The transaction, first announced in 2025, closed as Workday continued to expand its portfolio of AI agents for human resources and finance. Workday said the addition deepens its talent acquisition capabilities for organizations hiring at scale. Financial terms were not disclosed.
